#On-premises Development Program (ZOPD) overview

The IBM Z and IBM LinuxONE On-premises Development (ZOPD) Program provides software discounts and loaned hardware capacity to qualifying ISVs who own and operate an IBM Z or IBM LinuxONE in an on-prem environment.

Program participants earn benefits consistent with their level of engagement. IBM assesses participants to assign a program benefit tier based on published tier criteria. Example activities include earning advocacy badges, supplying customer references, and attending industry events to maintain skill currency. The assessment process is collaborative, with participants having the opportunity to showcase their contributions to the IBM Z and IBM LinuxONE ecosystem. Assessments are performed upon initial admission to the program and with each annual renewal thereafter so that participants have an annual opportunity to unlock additional benefits by working throughout the year to meet the criteria for higher tiers.

Participants must purchase a new IBM Z or IBM LinuxONE to enroll in the program upon acceptance; used machines may not be enrolled.
